- Pour 2 cups of water in a pot .Bring it to boil ,then add 1 cup of basmati rice and chopped carrot pieces into it .You could also add green peas into it if it is not already cooked . I used frozen,so I didn't cook .Wait till rice and carrot becomes half cooked and add 1/4 tsp of salt . When everything is almost cooked turn off the heat and drain the water from it and keep it aside.
- In a pan pour 2 tbsp of refined oil .When it becomes hot ,add chopped garlic and saute a little bit .Add chopped veggies (celery , spring onion ,green peas) and saute it for another minute
- Add pepper powder , soy sauce , little bit sugar(a pinch) and mix everything well .
- Add the cooked rice, carrot mixture and mix well . Taste it and add salt if needed.
- You can also use other veggies like bell peppers here if you like.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce.
