- Get 1 can cut green beans
- Take 400 grams beef
- Prepare 5 tbsp tomato past
- Get 2 cup basmati rice
- Get 1 small onion
- Take 1 tbsp tormeric
- Get 1 tbsp cinnamon
- Get 1 dash salt
- Prepare 1 dash pepper
Moe's vegetarian burrito is served in a flour or whole-grain tortilla and stuffed with rice, beans, handmade guacamole, and shredded lettuce. To make it vegan, hold the cheese and sour cream. You also have the option of adding grilled onions, bell peppers, and/or mushrooms. Ditch the tortilla and dig into a bowl filled with seasoned rice, beans, shredded cheese, pico de gallo and your choice of carnitas, steak, chicken, ground beef or organic tofu.
Instructions to make Moe's Rice and Beans:
- Cook the rice by bringing a large pot of water to a boil and add salt. Add the rice and stir. Cook for 10 minutes and then turn down the heat to low and let the water steam away.
- Fry onions in pan with olive oil. Add turmeric, cinnamon, salt and pepper.
- Add finely chopped beef. ( can use ground beef)
- Stir on high heat till meat is cooked
- Add beans, tomato past, and a bit of water and let simmer
- At this point both the rice and the food in the pan should both still have some moisture/ wetness. Mix the two together, put a lid on it and let it cook on low for 15 minutes.
- Serve.
Add rice and cook, stirring constantly, until just golden. Add garlic, cumin, chili powder, pepper and cayenne and cook a few minutes more. Stir in onions and cook until onions are tender.
